Hand Detection
MediaPipe Hands model detects palm orientation, extracts 21 hand landmarks, and segments the palm region. Supports both camera capture and image upload with automatic hand-type classification (left/right, dominant).
Line Extraction
Custom edge detection and line tracing algorithms identify all major and minor palm lines. Each line is characterised by length, depth, curvature profile, break points, and branch patterns using adaptive thresholding.
Feature Analysis
Mount prominence scores are calculated from depth maps. Finger proportions are measured against hand geometry baselines. Special markings are detected using pattern recognition trained on annotated palmistry datasets.
