— Audio Research Workbench
Look Inside
the Spectrum
A desktop analysis and synthesis workbench for engineered audio. Load a WAV file and examine its spectrum through ten modules — matrix matching, peak detection, harmonics, beat structure and psychoacoustic bands — then generate new files from the same instrument.
The Problem
Engineered Audio Is Hard to Inspect
Opaque Files
A matrix, entrainment or tone file may claim particular frequencies, yet few tools show what is actually inside.
Scattered Utilities
Spectrum viewers, beat detectors and generators are usually separate programs with incompatible settings.
Unclear Synthesis Choices
Mono imprint files and stereo listening files serve different purposes and need different handling of fades, levels and DC offset.
The Solution
Ten Modules, One Spectral Pipeline
Analysis runs on a large FFT of the loaded file and reports each module in a single, scrollable report.
Matrix Matching
Match the spectrum against a set of 19 target frequencies and report the strongest components.
Deep Peak Detection
List the strongest spectral peaks, top thirty-five, with harmonic-series detection around each fundamental.
Beats & Modulation
Identify binaural and isochronic beat structure and measure the modulation ratio of the signal.
Psychoacoustic Bands
View energy distribution across seven bands, with spectral statistics and recommended frequency seeds.
Imprint & Luck Scores
Heuristic ring-imprint suitability and luck-matrix scores for engineered audio files.
WAV Generator
Create imprint (mono) or listening (stereo, with binaural pair) files at 44.1 to 192 kHz in 16-bit, 24-bit or 32-bit float, with fades, normalization and DC removal.
Architecture
From File to Report
Launch
Run the single .bat file on Windows. It compiles the embedded Java source on first run and opens the application.
Load a WAV
Open a 16-, 24- or 32-bit PCM or 32-bit float WAV file of at least 262,144 frames.
Analyse
Run the ten-module pipeline and read the consolidated report.
Generate
Use the Generate tab to produce new imprint or listening files, guided by the recommended seeds.
What the Numbers Mean
The analyzer measures the spectral content of an audio file. It does not establish any biological, therapeutic or psychological effect of that content. Composite scores are heuristic classifiers calibrated for engineered audio, and should be read as descriptions of the file rather than predictions of outcomes.

Requirements & Limits
Windows with Java
Needs Windows, PowerShell and a JDK (version 11 or later) installed; it is not a browser application.
WAV Only
Lossy formats are not supported, and only the first channel of a multichannel file is analysed.
Heuristic Scores
Composite scores are classifiers for engineered audio, not measurements of biological or psychological effect.
Who Benefits
Built for People Who Work With Tone Files
Audio Researchers
Examine harmonic structure, beat patterns and band energy with consistent, documented methods.
Entrainment Designers
Check what a binaural or isochronic file actually contains before and after producing it.
Frequency-Matrix Users
Compare files against a defined target set and generate new files with controlled parameters.
